About
Amy Wild is an arts, culture and social media journalist with a background in audience analytics.
She began writing, styling and creating content at fourteen as an anonymous fashion, lifestyle and arts blogger, later selling personalised style bundles worldwide on Depop at seventeen.
Determined to pursue a career in journalism, Amy entered and won Best Article at the SVMA’s at age twenty.
While studying for her BA in Journalism and Communications at Cardiff University, she freelanced for Cardiff Life Magazine and The Raven, interned at Buzz Magazine, and served as Film & TV Editor for the university magazine, Quench.
Since graduating, she has completed internships at The Financial Times, The Telegraph and The Times & Sunday Times. She also founded her own Substack publication, Beyond The Byline, featuring in-depth interviews and commentary on film, TV, and society.
Amy also has two years professional experience in audience analytics, having worked on reporting and content strategy for brands including AstraZeneca, Co-op, British Airways, Unilever and Capital One UK.
Now freelance, Amy is training part-time for her NCTJ at News Associates. She is currently working with the BBC as a Development Assistant Producer on an upcoming documentary, alongside shifts as a Social Media Editor at The Telegraph.
